You need one now. I am currently in discussion with Louis and I am telling him that a cluster of mentors is essential for greatness. Louis is one of the string of undergraduates that I have had the pleasure of working with. A key criteria of selection of these under graduates is that I need to believe that they will be multi-millionaires in their lifetime. I need that ‘x-factor’. I only have them for a short window in their journey before they move on, on qualifying to climbing their mountain.
Mentors are important for the up and coming ‘Y’ generation, and us ‘oldies’. I would recommend to all those who do not have a mentor, to listen to Jack Welch on mentors, search “mentors + Drucker” and lastly, read an extract from my Winning Leadership Whitepaper.
